Quarterly: Fall '06 Edition
From the Editor
Random thoughts from a staredown observer:
- Doyle, welcome to the club of elite staredown athletes. It was a long road, but it's good to finally have you.
- Congrats, Tony, on your victory in Utah, but the polygamy jokes were unbecoming of a champ.
- Miss Watson, you are showing the world of Pro Staredown that you are more than just a pretty face. You are a talented competitor who is showing the fairer sex that they too can succeed in this traditionally male sport. And if you ever want to reconsider, my dinner offer remains open.
- I want to wish Peter McAlister a speedy recovery from his eye strain. Remember, a warm towel every night and plenty of rest.
- If google blog search is any indication, Pro Staredown is developing a rabid following in the Middle East, Germany, Hungary, and Japan further proving the global nature of this sport. Viva la Staredown!
Sincerely, Mark Chipwood Staredown Analyst/ NASP

Staredown Hoedown is Back!!!
You heard right, ya'all! Bring your best western duds and your boots down to Houston on Friday the 13th where Bob Henderson will host the festivities at his ranch. There will be plenty of square dancing, barbecue and refreshments. Rumor has it that Tennessee Tim and the Green Mountain Boys may put on a private show for the NASP faithful. Here's looking at you, cowboys!
